Views sought on court fees proposals

23 Feb

The Scottish Government has opened a consultation on proposals to change the fees charged by courts and the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG).

Ministers say that those who make use of the services of the courts or the OPG should meet or contribute towards the associated costs to the public purse where they can afford to do so.

Fees are reviewed every three years, and the 2015 proposals are for inflation increases of 2% from September 2015, April 2016 and April 2017, and an additional 2% from September 2015.
