Our pleasure, Minister

22 Sep

REFORMS to contract law have been passed by the Scottish Parliament, with special thanks being extended to the Faculty for its help in the passage of the Contract (Third Party Rights) (Scotland) Bill.

In presenting the Bill to MSPs, the Minister for Legal Affairs, Annabelle Ewing, heralded, among others, the organisations and individuals who had provided oral and written evidence to the Parliament’s Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee.

She added: “In particular, I would like to pay special thanks to the Faculty of Advocates who have been generous in giving of their time and expertise as we have developed the legislative proposals in relation to arbitration.”
