Counsel to put EV case under spotlight

11 Jun

A significant Supreme Court family law judgment is to be analysed by one of the advocates in the case for a training event by the Scottish Child Law Centre.

The Faculty’s Julianna Cartwright was junior counsel for the appellant mother in EV (A Child) Scotland which dealt with an application by West Lothian Council for a permanence order with authority to adopt.

She will discuss the welfare and detriment tests in “Permanence applications: Lessons from the EV Case” on Wednesday, 13 June, at the Faculty’s Mackenzie Building, 172 High Street, Edinburgh.
