Biography

Adam called to the Bar in 2018 as the Lord Reid Scholar 2017-18.

Prior to calling, Adam practiced in Brodies LLP’s Dispute Resolution department for seven years. He qualified as a Solicitor Advocate in July 2015. He has appeared regularly in that capacity in the Court of Session (Outer House, Inner House and Commercial Court) and Sheriff Courts. He has also appeared in the Supreme Court. Adam’s instructions as Solicitor Advocate covered a wide range of practice areas including: professional negligence, construction, commercial contracts and commercial property. He also has experience of urgent instructions to obtain interim orders.

As a solicitor, Adam gained extensive experience of acting in professional negligence claims on behalf of solicitors, surveyors, accountants, IFAs, brokers, architects and construction professionals. Completing the CII Diploma in Insurance in 2014 enhanced Adam’s insurance industry knowledge. He has considerable experience as a solicitor of high value and complex disputes and mediation.
