Biography

Jamie brings practical commercial experience to the Scottish Civil Bar.

From 2007-2015, Jamie was a Strategy Consultant (latterly Director) at Accenture. He led teams dealing with complex contract and JV structuring, commercial dispute resolution and development of large energy infrastructure projects. He has experience in the banking and commodity trading, energy, transport and beverages sectors.

Jamie is dual-qualified, and from 2005-2007 was a practising barrister in London. As well as giving him previous court experience, his dual-qualification is helpful in areas where there is limited Scottish case law. It means that he is comfortable drawing on persuasive English authority.

He holds a BVC from the Inns of Court School of Law, was awarded the Queen Mother and Diplock Scholarships, and won the Lechmere and Colombos essay prizes. He also holds a BA Hons in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford.
