Jena, 1671. The additional engraved title-page displayed is signed 'Christian
Romstet sculp:' Illustrated title-pages were valued not only for their
decorative value, but because they were produced separately from the book
and could be circulated individually as an advertisement. Christian
Romstet (1640-1721) was born in Weimar and was active as an engraver
in Leipzig from 1671.
