Biography
Cameron was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 2020 and called to the Bar as the Lord Reid Scholar.
Cameron is presently instructed as junior counsel in the Eljamel Public Inquiry.
He has a civil litigation practice spanning courts across Scotland and is regularly instructed in reparation, clinical negligence and insurance litigation. He acts for both pursuers and defenders. Cameron has particular expertise in cases involving fraud, dishonesty and exaggeration, especially in the context of motor insurance fraud. A number of his cases have also attracted wider public and media attention. He also has experience in group proceedings.
In addition to court work, Cameron has represented clients in professional conduct proceedings, Fatal Accident Inquiries, and in an application to the European Court of Human Rights.
Between 2015 and 2016, he worked with defence teams in appellate proceedings before the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. He holds an LLM from Leiden University, has tutored in Scots Law of Evidence, and contributed to Scots Commercial Law (2nd edn, 2022).
