Biography
Chris called to the Bar in 2020.
His areas of interest include Criminal, Commercial, Human Rights, Intellectual Property, Media, Reparation, and Public Law.
While training as a Solicitor, Chris specialised in Civil Litigation and Personal Injury Law, appearing regularly in the Sheriff Court before qualifying in 2018.
He began devilling in 2019, gaining Criminal Litigation experience in the High Court of Justiciary at trial and appellate level. He gained further Civil Litigation experience in the Court of Session, including Private Law actions involving Commercial, Intellectual Property, Reparation and Media Law disputes; as well as Public Law actions involving Judicial Review and Human Rights.
Chris has a particular interest in the operation of Intellectual Property, Media, Commercial, and Criminal Law in Cyberspace having been awarded the degree of Master of Laws with Distinction in Internet Law. He has tutored at Strathclyde University Law School, and provided CPD on Data Protection and Privacy.
