Biography

Dominic called to the Bar in 2020, having qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and as a solicitor advocate in 2016.  His principal areas of practice are public law, reparation, and health & safety.  He is the Second Standing Junior Counsel to the Scottish Government.

Dominic was a lecturer at the University of Dundee between 2013 and 2014, has tutored at the universities of Aberdeen and Edinburgh and has had articles and case notes published in professional and academic journals. Between 2017 and 2022, he was a Law Reporter for Session Cases. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board to the Stair Memorial Encyclopaedia and is an external examiner at the University of Dundee. His update to the Health and Safety at Work volume of The Stair Memorial Encyclopaedia was published in 2020; and he is in the process of co-authoring the second edition of An Introduction to Written Pleading by Professor Robert Black KC.
