Biography
Euan Mackenzie has a broad civil practice with particular experience in public law, judicial review, planning and environmental law, clinical negligence and fatal and catastrophic personal injury claims.
He has over 15 years experience of pursuing and defending cases on behalf of clients including the Scottish Government, health boards, medical defence unions, public sector organisations, charities, companies and individuals.
He has been a standing Junior Counsel to the Scottish Government since 2006. He is presently Junior Counsel to the Public Inquiry into the Edinburgh Trams Project chaired by the Rt Hon the Lord Hardie. Between 2009 and 2014 he was Junior Counsel to the Public Inquiry into contaminated blood chaired by the Rt Hon the Lord Penrose.
He regularly appears in the Court Session, in both the Inner and Outer House, and has also appeared in the Sheriff Courts and in a range of tribunals and inquiries.
