Biography

Fred Mackintosh is regularly instructed in the High Court of Judiciary Appeal Court and Sheriff Appeal Court and appears in the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts across Scotland. 

He has a particular interest in the application of human rights principals to the criminal procedure.  From 2010 to 2017 he was a Senior Teaching Fellow and then Course Leader at the Centre Professional Legal Studies at the Edinburgh University School of Law.  He taught  criminal practice and procedure courses to final year law students at the university.  Fred studied Geography at the University of Edinburgh.  He trained as a solicitor at Dundas & Wilson CS in both Edinburgh and Glasgow.
