Biography
Gary Allan QC practised as a solicitor in leading commercial and litigation practices for eleven years before calling at the Bar in 1994.
He has practised mostly in the field of criminal law and has acted in numerous serious and high profile cases. Gary has acquired well merited recognition for his expertise in serious crime, white collar, regulatory, and financial crime, including Proceeds of Crime Act and Bribery Act matters.
He served as a Senior Advocate Depute in the Crown Office between 2007 and 2011. He was also Crown Counsel advising the COPFS Health and Safety Division.
He has represented public bodies, companies, directors, partners, managers and other individuals.
He has wide experience of appearing before employment tribunals and fatal accident inquiries.
He regularly appears before a wide range of disciplinary tribunals, including those governing teachers, health and social care professionals, accountants, solicitors and professional and amateur sports clubs and players.
