Biography
Kay called to the Bar in 1999, and since then has specialised in civil litigation, particularly in the areas of public law and reparation.
Her public law practice includes judicial review, statutory appeals and one of the few public inquiries in Scotland. She is retained by the Scottish Ministers to act on their behalf, and is also appointed to the ‘A’ list panel of counsel for the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
In the reparation field, Kay has wide experience in employers’ liability, public liability and road traffic claims, as well as professional and clinical negligence disputes.
