Biography

Kirsty called to the Bar in 2024, after more than four years in practice as a solicitor at Brodies LLP. She has a broad range of experience in commercial disputes, with a particular interest in construction, insolvency and professional liability.  

Before calling to the bar, Kirsty was a solicitor in the contentious construction team at Brodies LLP, and latterly worked there as a senior solicitor. In that role, Kirsty regularly advised and represented clients in the construction and engineering sector in the Sheriff Court and, with counsel, in the Court of Session. She also has considerable experience in alternative dispute resolution, including Adjudication, Arbitration and Mediation.

Kirsty is also a tutor in Contract Law and Unjustified Enrichment, Commercial Law and Evidence at the University of Edinburgh,
