Biography

Maurice O'Carroll called to the Scottish Bar in 1995 where he specialises in Employment, Commercial, Public and Planning Law. 

He is dual qualified as a Barrister having called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2019 through The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.

Maurice studied law at Edinburgh University, graduating with an Honours degree in 1988.  He qualified as a solicitor in 1991 with a commercial law firm and thereafter worked in Brussels for two years after a period of training with the European Commission before calling to the Scottish Bar.

Maurice is a Legal Associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Secretary of the Faculty of Advocates Employment Law Group, which he founded in 2010, and is the Vice-Chairman of the Faculty of Advocates Planning Group.
