Biography

Neale called to the Bar in 2020 after qualifying as a solicitor in 2014 and a solicitor advocate in 2018.

As a solicitor, Neale had a busy practice dealing with a broad range of commercial disputes. His practice had a particular focus on commercial contracts, banking and finance, insolvency and professional liability litigation. He was frequently instructed to handle civil fraud claims and to make urgent applications for interim and protective measures. He gained substantial experience of appearing in court and regularly conducted proofs and debates.

Neale is a law reporter for Session Cases, an ad hoc reporter to the Professional Conduct Sub-Committee of the Law Society of Scotland and a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.

Neale won the Mike Jones Excellence in Advocacy Award in 2019.
