Biography

Paul has a broad civil and commercial practice and he has experience of dealing with a wide range of commercial contract and property disputes. 

Litigations he has conducted have concerned commercial leases, intellectual property disputes relating to copyright and trademarks, as well as agency, building, coal mining, partnership and employment contracts.  Paul has acted in a number of professional negligence claims arising mainly out of property and trust matters.

Banking, financial services, diligence and insolvency law are also within Paul's sphere of expertise, including experience dealing with a large number of disputes for and against banks in relation to securities and guarantees.  Paul maintains a significant interest in sports law, having advised and acted for the Scottish Premier League and a number of major football clubs, sportsmen and sports agents.

Paul regularly appears in the Inner and Outer House, including the Commercial Court. He also has experience of arbitration and tribunals.
