Biography
Ross called to the Bar and joined Compass Chambers as a Lord Hope Scholar. He is a Writer to His Majesty’s Signet and tutors Civil Litigation at the University of Glasgow.
Prior to calling to the Bar, Ross worked with the international law firm, Clyde & Co, and typically handled an interesting and complex range of matters involving fatalities and complex injuries. He handled Court of Session medical negligence cases and was instructed on numerous COVID-19 fatal cases.
Ross brings with him specialist expertise in handling medicolegal matters ranging from catastrophic injury to medical negligence. He also has experience of public and fatal accident inquiries.
Ross continues to pride himself on being fearless and forthright whilst advocating on behalf of those he represents. He brings a personable, pragmatic, and commercially sensitive approach to any situation.
In his personal time, Ross is working on his PhD. His thesis focusses on procedural justice within the dispute resolution sphere. Ross also enjoys flying. He was one of the UK’s youngest pilots to fly a private aircraft solo at the age of 16.
