Biography
An “absolute star” in employment law, Terence has been recognised in the Rising Star of the Bar category of the 2025 Herald Law Awards.
He has succeeded in numerous cases involving the UK’s largest employers across the private, public and third sectors. Some cases have featured in national media such as the BBC and the Times, or exceeded £1M in remedy.
Recent successes include:
Jones and Tunnock v Chief Constable – direct sex discrimination where officers had firearms withdrawn
Peggie v NHS Fife – advice on harassment claim in relation to use of changing room
Robertson v GXO – defended entire claim (disability discrimination and whistleblowing detriments)
He is described as “forensic” in preparation and “formidable” in cross-examination.
He also accepts some cases in professional discipline, company law, etc. He previously served on the Advocate General’s Panel of Nominated Presenting Officers.
He graduated from Yale University and the University of Edinburgh with Distinction.
