Veteran Faculty figure appointed life peer

The Rt Hon Sir Menzies Campbell, QC - who called to the Bar in 1968 and took silk in 1982 – has been included in a list of 45 new life peers.
Sir "Ming" was an Olympic athlete, taking part in the 1964 Tokyo Games, and captained the Scotland team at the 1966 Commonwealth Games, before starting out on his career as an advocate.
He served as MP for North East Fife from 1987 to 2015 and was Leader of the Liberal Democrats from 2006 to 2007.
