New post for Lord Hope of Craighead

Lord Hope of Craighead, the former Deputy President of the UK Supreme Court, has been named Chief Justice of Abu Dhabi Global Market Courts.
 
The appointment was described as a “significant milestone” towards the courts of First Instance and of Appeal becoming fully operational by the end of the year.

Lord Hope said: “It is a very real personal honour for me to have been appointed to lead the setting up of Abu Dhabi Global Market Courts as their Chief Justice. Our aim is to establish an independent and first class judicial system…”
