New Faculty member of SLAB

 

The appointment of John Hamilton, QC, as the Faculty member of the Scottish Legal Aid Board has been announced by Michael Matheson, the Cabinet Secretary for Justice.

Mr Hamilton is vastly experienced in criminal work, and served as an Advocate Depute from 2003 to 2006. He is a former Director of Training and Education at the Faculty.

His new appointment is part-time and will run for four years.

Ray Macfarlane, Chair of SLAB's board, said: "John's wealth of experience, including in all aspects of criminal work, will be of great benefit to SLAB.”
