Well done, Aidan and Usman

HEARTY congratulations to Aidan O'Neill, QC, and Usman Tariq who were winners at the 2017 Law Awards of Scotland.

Mr O'Neill took the title, Silk of the Year. In February, he was appointed a Queen's Counsel in England and Wales, thus achieving the rare distinction of "double Silk". He has been a QC in Scotland since 1999.

Mr Tariq was recognised as Advocate of the Year for his role as a leading light in the launch of the Scottish Ethnic Minorities Lawyers' Association (SEMLA).

Angela Grahame, QC, Vice-Dean of Faculty, was commended in the Silk of the Year category.
