A senior member of Faculty has been appointed to the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission.
Kay Springham, QC, is one of four new members of the SLCC announced by the Cabinet Secretary for Justice, Michael Matheson.
The Scottish Government said that Ms Springham, with experience of a wide range of civil cases, had a good understanding of the service which lawyers were expected to provide to clients.
“She also has a particular interest in human rights and equality which she hopes will help her bring contribution to the work of the SLCC,” it added.
The other appointments were Sara Hesp, a qualified Chartered Surveyor, Denise Loney, a solicitor, and Sarah Mcluckie, operations manager for the Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland.
