Employment law conference on the move
19 May
A popular conference looking at issues in the world of employment law is this year leaving its traditional venue in Edinburgh and going on circuit to Glasgow.
The quality of the event, staged by the Faculty of Advocates Employment Law Group, has given it wide appeal in past years, and this has been maintained for the move along the M8.
Maurice O’Carroll, who will chair the conference, said: “We are very pleased to have secured an illustrious panel of speakers, including Lady Wise who will be speaking for the Group for the first time in her capacity as Judge of the Employment Appeal Tribunal in Scotland.”
He added: “We will also welcome contributions, from unique and learned perspectives, from Calum MacNeill, QC, and Aidan O’Neill, QC, on recent developments in employment law and the implications of Brexit. To complete the line-up, junior counsel David Hay and Alice Stobart are to discuss working time and holiday pay, and the ‘gig’ economy.”
The conference is on Monday, 26 June, at The Lighthouse, Mitchell Lane, Glasgow.
