The appointments bring to 127 the number of seniors practising at the Scottish Bar, where membership stands at 441.

The 13 are: Jonathan Barne, Lynda Brabender, Almira Delibegovic-Broome, James Findlay (QC in England and Wales in 2008), Anthony Graham, Gavin MacColl, Stephen O’Rourke, David Parratt, Martin Richardson, Thomas Ross, Michael Stuart, David Thomson and Gavin Walker.

The list is completed by Antony Jones, solicitor-advocate.

The new silks will be welcomed by Lord Carloway, the Lord President, at a ceremony on 25 September in the First Division courtroom in Parliament House to mark the opening of the legal year.
