Faculty support for Mental Health Awareness Week

14 May

THE Faculty is pleased to support LawCare in its promotion of Mental Health Awareness Week (14-20 May).

LawCare is a UK-wide charity which promotes good mental health and wellbeing in the legal community, and runs a 365-days-a-year confidential helpline 0800 279 6888.

It is highlighting its services during Mental Health Awareness Week, which this year has the theme, Stress: are we coping?

Dr Kirsty Hood, QC, Clerk of Faculty, said: “Mental Health Awareness Week is a good time for the Faculty to again stress its support for LawCare, in LawCare’s crucial work with the profession.

“The Faculty is particularly pleased to be able to participate along with LawCare, the Law Society of Scotland, and other groups, in the cross-profession Legal Wellbeing Scotland initiative.

"The Faculty is delighted to subscribe to LawCare for the benefit of all of its Members, and  Members are encouraged to draw upon the excellent materials, information and services which LawCare provides.”
