Abbotsford the venue for discussions with four diverse authors

19 Oct

FOUR very different authors will discuss their latest works at the home of the master, in the Abbotsford Literary Sessions.

Sir Walter Scott’s home in the Scottish Borders provides a unique and historical setting for “a weekend of entertaining, lively and inspiring discussion” with Simon Jenkins, Ben Macintyre, Penny Junor and Joseph Jebelli.

Jenkins moves from Greece and Rome to the present day in A Short History of Europe, while Macintyre’s The Spy and the Traitor is the story of Britain’s most successful Russian spy.

Junor looks at the relationship between monarch and faithful companions in All the Queen’s Corgis, and Jebelli’s In Pursuit of Memory explores the past, present and future of Alzheimer’s.

The sessions are on the evenings of Saturday, 27 October, and Sunday, 28 October. Details here
