Innovate for a better future at Faculty's World IP Day 2022 event

THE Faculty of Advocates’ free hybrid World IP Day 2022 event takes place on Friday 29 April, so time is running out to book for this popular annual gathering.

Speakers at the event, which has been fully subscribed in previous years, will discuss the theme for World Intellectual Property Day 2022  'IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future' – and focuss on how IP is relevant for business today.

The event will run from 12 noon to 13:30 pm. It is open to all advocates, solicitors, devils, trainees, students and other professionals with an interest in IP. It will be chaired by Roisin Higgins QC, an IP law specialist, and Graeme McWilliams, former IP adviser at Standard Life.

Dr David Pritchard, Senior Technology Transfer Manager at Edinburgh Innovation, will deliver a presentation entitled ‘Reflections on Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer and Commercialisation.’

He will be followed by Graeme Di Rollo, Legal Counsel at Trustpilot, discussing ‘Trust in IP: Innovations in brand protection.’
