Registration opens for World IP annual conference
03 Apr
Bookings are now being taken for the Faculty of Advocate’s 17th annual World Intellectual Property Day Conference which takes place later this month.
The annual free event will be held in the Mackenzie Building in Edinburgh on Friday 25 April. It is open to all advocates, solicitors, devils, trainees, students and other professionals interested in IP.
Faculty recognises World IP Day every year by securing guest speakers to explore the contribution IP makes to business and society. David Thornton, Manager and Legal Counsel at the R & A in St Andrews, will be among the speakers this year and other contributors will be announced soon.
This year’s event will be chaired by Roisin Higgins KC, an IP law specialist, and Mark Cruickshank, Managing Legal Counsel at RBS.
The conference will be held from 12 noon to 1.30pm and will be followed by a lunch hosted by the Faculty of Advocates.
