Biography

Morag called to the bar in June 2024 and has a particular interest in family law and child law.

She trained with a leading Edinburgh private client firm, gaining extensive experience in family law, trust law, and taxation. She has experience in litigation arising from the breakdown of relationships, including financial provision on divorce and financial claims on the breakdown of cohabitation. In addition, she also has experience in disputes involving children, including residence and contact actions.

Morag is a tutor in Family Law (Ordinary), Contract Law & Unjustified Enrichment, and Trust & Succession Law at the University of Edinburgh. She has published numerous articles on a wide range of family law matters and regularly contributes to Greens Family Law Bulletin. She was a researcher for the eighth edition of Thomson’s Family Law in Scotland and is in the process of co-editing “Child and Family Law” Stair Memorial Encyclopaedia Reissue.
