Specialist sheriffs named for new personal injury court

Six sheriffs have been appointed as specialists who will sit in the new personal injury court from the start of the legal year on 22 September.

The six are: Sheriff Paul Arthurson, QC, Sheriff Peter Braid, Sheriff Gordon Liddle, Sheriff Kathrine Mackie, Sheriff Kenneth McGowan and Sheriff Fiona Reith, QC.

The Sheriff Personal Injury Court will have all-Scotland jurisdiction and will be located at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
