QC joins sport arbitrators panel

12 May

The Faculty’s Roddy McIlvride, QC, has joined a nationwide group of around 130 lawyers and other professionals on being added to the arbitrators panel of a dispute resolution service for sport.

Mr McIlvride’s appointment by Sport Resolutions (UK) begins with immediate effect. The independent, not-for-profit service was established to provide an alternative to internal appeals processes and court-based litigation, and offers sport-specific arbitration and mediation to organisations such as the Football Association, the Rugby Football Union and the Lawn Tennis Association.

It also operates the National Anti-Doping Panel and the National Safeguarding Panel.
